when can and cant piracy be fiar?
Piracy finds its ground in places where purchasing digital license or property is not possible. This itself is a confusing moral argument, the people who made this program or property deserve payment for all the work they put into it, and if not for factors outside both the company's and the consumers' control, a transaction could be made. In this specific case the room for understanding why someone would go though the effort of downloading pirated content.
Companies in the modern world are aware of piracy; they blame it for a reduce income on their products. Piracy can also be seen as a form of protest. A good reason to pirate is in protest to these companies; being unhappy with the price or the quality of content leads its users to be distrustful of paying full price for a product. With some policy not allowing refunds, users can skip payment for products unless they own use of the product though piracy proves useful. However, less often than not, people pay for a product after getting it for free though any means. It is important for companies to address these issues, like pricing and quality, to regain the trust of consumers. Offering more affordable options or improving the overall user experience can help reduce the prevalence of piracy in the long run.
My opinon
The first reason I started pirating games was for financial reasons, I grew up playing mostly free games online and only watching other people on YouTube, I wanted to play the same games but did not have the money. My brother taught me how to find games online. until I got a job, I was mostly pirating my games. Now that I have money to spend, I don’t pirate any games, even if I don’t like what I paid for my morals and stand on paying for what I want. However, for movie and tv online I protest, each entertainment company has created their own service for watching a small amount of show/movie they have license for. This has led to an epidemic of subscription services for watching anything online. I refuse to pay for more than one service and chose to find my entertainment through piracy means.
